Made from slip-cast ceramic with a digitally designed, layered form. The interior is glazed, while the exterior is left in its raw, unglazed state. Due to the untreated outer surface, careful handling is recommended. Inside, a bed of gravel is included to securely hold the incense in place.

THE PROCESS

Digital Model

The process begins with a digital model designed to capture a sense of motion in a stationary object.

Mold Creation

The digital model is 3D printed to create a prototype, which is then used to craft a master mold. This master mold is used to produce the final plaster molds.

Slip Casting & Finishing

Using the plaster molds, the incense holders are slip-cast in clay. Each piece is then meticulously finished by hand to ensure a flawless exterior surface.

Firing & Glazing

The pieces undergo an initial firing, after which the interiors are glazed. They are then fired a second time to achieve the final finish.
